Is "God Out of Time"?
Discern the Lie
This post on the Five Doves website warrants the following response:First - to say or agree with the statement that "God is out of time" questions the sovereignty, the omnipotence and the omniscience of the Almighty God Who lacks nothing. God is not out of anything - period! To those idolaters who have made god in their own image, he may be out of time, but the God of Scriptures sovereignly reigns and does all things well according to His will.
Secondly, to direct others to "seek the Lord for the interpretation" to a man's words is to equate them with the words of Scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit, and they are not Scripture, nor can we assume that they are even from God. What should be sought for is discernment, which is sorely lacking and ignored in the Church today.
Thirdly, the website in question, from the On Doctrine website reveals more than the mistakes of the man being exposed which are not mere mistakes in the first place - they are false prophesies and claims made in the name of God that did not happen, revealing that their source was not from God at all. And if they were not from God, who were they from? The website very clearly shows the false doctrines being promoted by this man which are by all definitions of the word - "heretical".
No one is saying that believers can't make mistakes as has been insinuated, but we are all accountable to hold to and teach the truth according to Scripture. When teachings or doctrines are being promoted that are damaging to God's name, His reputation, His truth as revealed in His Word, or His people (the Church), we are obligated to stand against them. It doesn't matter that an "old saint has been walking with God for many years." The truth of the matter is that when a man promotes false doctrine and refuses to repent, we the Church must reject what he says and hold to the teachings given to us in the written, revealed Word of God.
To deride the discerning is to cut off our nose to spite our face. God commands us all to be discerning, and has placed the gift of discernment in the Body of Christ to protect us from deception to which our response has eternal implications. If we reject discernment, we open ourselves up to the very deception that characterizes the apostasy of the last days referred to in the New Testament. (2 Thessalonians 2:3)

False Leaders Won't be Found "Outside the Camp"
Know the Truth
This article points out one of the many problems with those leaders of institutional religious organizations that masquerade as the "Church" in that they do not live what they profess to believe. Another word for this practice is "hypocrisy"."Today many of our so-called “Christian” leaders scoffingly reject biblical ethics as unequal to the task of providing leadership, but instead revert to pragmatism and compromise in order to solve our society’s ills... When Peter and John stood up to the religious authorities of their day, they were willing to go “outside the camp.” They knew what rejection was like, they knew what opposition was like, they even knew what jail was like, yet they kept on going back there for the sake of the Word of God. They refused to bow, in any way, shape, or form, to the secular-religious power of their day. The term “acquiescence” was simply not a part of their vocabulary.
God is raising up modern day Peters and Johns who are willing to go "outside the camp" because they have counted the cost of following Jesus and are willing to die for His sake and for His eternal purpose. In the Church that Jesus founded, there were no hierarchical leaders who lorded it over other believers (Mark 10:42-43). Only those disciples who were willing to submit to His lordship as Head of the Church and follow His will no matter what it cost them. It's time that we stopped following these false leaders (Matthew 7:15-20) and submit to the one and only true Head of the Church - Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:18-19). A very good book that addresses this issue of leadership in the Church is called "Who Is Your Covering" by Frank Viola which is listed in the Recommended Resources link on this page.

Born Again Christians Just As Likely to Divorce As Are Non-Christians
These Things Ought Not To Be
"Although Bible scholars and teachers point out that Jesus taught that divorce was a sin unless adultery was involved, few Americans buy that notion. Only one out of every seven adults (15%) strongly agreed with the statement 'when a couple gets divorced without one of them having committed adultery, they are committing a sin.' A similar percentage (16%) moderately agreed with the statement. The vast majority (66%) disagreed with the statement, most of them strongly dismissing the notion."It matters not that "few Americans buy the notion" that divorce is sin as taught by Jesus Christ. Divorce is still sin and the consequences of sin are still the same for those who commit them. The Bible is very clear that divorce, (except in the case of marital infidelity by a spouse) is adultery and adultery is sin. Matthew 19:8-9, Romans 13:9, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
These so-called believers who disregard the commands of God would do well to consider the following:
- Those who don't do what He commands are not His friends which means they are His enemies - John 15:14.
- Those who don't do what He commands are not in Him and neither is He in them - 1 John 3:24
- Those who don't do what He commands do not love His children. Nor do they really love Him - 1 John 5:2-3
- Those who don't do what He commands don't really know Him. In fact, those who say they know Him and don't do what He says are called "liars" - 1 John 2:3-5.
- Jesus asks those who claim to know Him yet refuse to keep His commandments, "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" Luke 6:46, and warns that those who do not do obey God shall not enter the kingdom of heaven - Matthew 7:21-23.

New Survey Examines the Impact of Gibson's Passion Movie
Know the Truth
"Among the most startling outcomes drawn from the research is the apparent absence of a direct evangelistic impact by the movie. Despite marketing campaigns labeling the movie the 'greatest evangelistic tool' of our era, less than one-tenth of one percent of those who saw the film stated that they made a profession of faith or accepted Jesus Christ as their savior in reaction to the film's content."If one person honestly submitted his or her life to the Lord Jesus Christ as a result of his movie, praise be to the sovereign God "who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:3-4). That this movie was called the "greatest evangelistic tool" of our era does much to reveal the utter lack of discernment in the Church and it's propensity to go whoring after the world with it's methods and values. As stated before on this website, repentance and conversion which is based on the manipulation of emotions will be spurious and temporary at best. When the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, He does so with the truth of God's Word (Romans 10:17). The fact that this movie is not based on that truth, but on the demonic and unscriptural visions of an 18th century mystic nun, makes it highly unlikely that any conviction experienced from it will lead to "repentance to salvation not to be repented of." Globby sentimentalism produced by images and music designed to entertain and feed the flesh will lead only to the "sorrow of the world" which "worketh death." 2 Corinthians 7:10
