Creating God in Our Own Image
Discern the Lie
You can read these posts and see how someone can twist the Scripture to make it say what they want it to say. It's so easy to come to a conclusion about God based on the image one has carved out in his own heart and not the God of the Bible. This type of thinking enables one to live a life of complete and utter sinfulness while resting in the false assurance that they are saved. Jesus came to save us FROM our sin, not so that we can continue in it without fear. I am preparing a response to both posts that will be available tomorrow. God have mercy on the Church for propagating this lie.John M Johnson - Who Are We Part 2 and

Grace is NOT Cheap
Know the Truth
These are good responses to the lie that was promoted in "Example of Cheap Grace" below.Sandra Jean - Response to John Johnson Post and

Cheap Grace
Discern the Lie
This post on the Five Doves website is a perfect example of how far we have really come from the truth.Did not Paul himself say:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 LITV
(9) Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
(10) nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Yet the writer of the referenced post has concluded from his own image of god that the Holy One should act differently. Discern the lie!
The "Jesus Died Spiritually" Heresy
Know the Truth
Here is a very good article that helps to reveal the truth in this matter of Jesus being born again:The writer of the article also cites the following scripture reference to demonstrate that those who teach such false doctrines about Christ have the spirit of antichrist. Look especially at verses 9-11. The reference is compelling...
2 John 1:7-11 LITV
(7) Because many deceivers went out into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh, this is the deceiver and the antichrist.
(8) Watch yourselves, that we may not lose the things we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.
(9) Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. The one abiding in the doctrine of Christ, this one has the Father and the Son.
(10) If anyone comes to you and does not bear this doctrine, do not receive him into the house, and do not speak a greeting to him.
(11) For the one speaking a greeting shares in his evil works.
A Born-again Jesus?
Discern the Lie
"WAS JESUS BORN AGAIN OR NOT?"from a post on the Five Doves website
This doctrine was born out of the modern day "Faith Movement" and is dangerous in that it has many heretical and blasphemous implications.
For a good study as to why this is not a biblical doctrine, there is a very good book called "A DIFFERENT GOSPEL" by D.R. McConnell. Chapter 7 documents the origin of this teaching and gives a hermeneutically sound exegesis of Scripture to prove that this doctrine is false.
I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is considering or who has already bought into the "Word of Faith" teaching in that it will open your eyes to just how far "off base" that movement really is.
Here is a link to some retailers that offer the book.
